Ditch the Runoff Field Day

Join the OSU Extension Water Quality Team for their third annual conservation-focused field day! Join us for a half-day field day as we showcase a recently completed two-stage ditch and discuss the benefits of different conservation practices. Hear from a variety of guest speakers as they discuss topics in conservation. Interact with local producers, landowners, and technical support staff as they openly discuss real-life implications of conservation practice implementation. This event is limited to 45 attendees.

This field day will be held at Kevin Miller Farms, 10117 County Road 21, West Unity, OH, 43570.

Topics to be covered include:

- Two-stage ditch construction and considerations: Manny Lay, Williams SWCD, Justin McBride, ODA, & Les Seiler, Farmer

- Impacts of the two-stage ditch to Miller farms: Kevin Miller, Farmer

- Water Quality Impacts at Edge-of-Field: Greg LaBarge, CCA/CPAg, Ohio State University Extension

- Return on Investment from Conservation Practices: Dr. Jim Uphaus, Rhodes State College
