    Pastures for Profit is a collaborative program between Ohio State, Ohio Forage and Grassland Council, Ohio Department of Agriculture, and Soil and Water Conservation Districts. Curriculum for Pastures for Profits has been evolving since the 1990s, and it includes topics such as grazing management, plant physiology, fencing & water infrastructure, economics, and more. Participants in 2025 PFP programs will receive a new manual that includes revised goal setting worksheets, new soil management information, and other changes.

    The OSU Extension Water Quality Team is working with the Ohio Department of Agriculture for our 4th annual bi-monthly, year-round CLM webinar series. These webinars will cover topics relevant to Certified Livestock Managers, as well as Certified Crop Advisers. Each webinar will be recorded and posted to the OSU Agronomy Team’s YouTube Channel for later viewing.Following the presentation, each webinar will provide an avenue for audience members to ask questions of our unique panel of speakers for that day’s event.

    The Forage Resiliency Webinar Series will consist of three 60-minute webinars on Zoom offering information on how to remain resilient to a variety of environmental challenges. Each webinar has its own registration link. Please register for each webinar.     The Integrated Forage Management team will be hosting our last webinar of Spring 2025 on Tuesday, May 6th at 6:30 pm. Dean Kreager will be presenting about emergency forages. This is a great place to learn about annual crop options, especially if you have alfalfa or perennial grasses that were severely damaged by drought or winter conditions.

    In this monthly series, farmers, industry, and academic experts will weigh in on practical steps to improve soil health and measure impact on crop yield and farm profitability. Please plan to join us for all four sessions! This session will focus on soil health in the urban sphere, featuring Dr. Fernanda Krupek and Jeff Hattey of The Ohio State University.

    Join OSU’s Water Quality Extension Associates for their fifth annual winter webinar series focusing on the interaction between agriculture and water quality. Each webinar will have a unique topic and speakers. Continuing education credits (CEUs) will be offered for Certified Crop Advisers (CCAs) for each webinar. Certified Livestock Manager (CLM) CEUs will be offered for relevant topics. All webinars will be recorded and posted to the OSU Agronomy Team YouTube channel (go.osu.edu/AgronomyYouTube) for later viewing. CEUs will not be available from the recordings.
