    FREE FARM PESTICIDE DISPOSAL COLLECTION EVENTS AVAILABLE IN ATHENS, CRAWFORD, AND MIAMI COUNTIES REYNOLDSBURG, Ohio (June 2026) – The Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA) will be sponsoring three collection events for farmers to dispose of unwanted pesticides. This year, the collections are available in Athens, Crawford, and Miami counties on the following days and locations:

    Don’t miss out on your chance to interact with Ohio State University Extension Specialists and take a deep dive into new corn and soybean practices at the 2026 Northwest Agronomic Field Day on Thursday, July 23 at the Northwest Agricultural Research Station located at 4240 Range Line Road, Custar, Ohio 43511.

    Agricultural professionals, producers, and industry experts are invited to attend the 2026 Manure Science Review, a one-day educational event focused on the latest research, technologies, and best practices in manure management and water quality. Hosted at Homan, Inc. in Maria Stein, Ohio, the event will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and feature a full agenda of expert-led presentations, live demonstrations, and networking opportunities.

    We will be having our annual Agronomy Day this year at the Western Ag. Research Station in South Charleston, Ohio, July 15, 2026.  We will start at 9 a.m. with introductions and then load up the tour wagons to go out to the fields.   Registration will start at 8:30 am with coffee and doughnuts.

    The 2026 Ohio State Weed Science Field Day will be held on Wednesday, July 8th at the Western Ag Research Station in South Charleston, OH. Registration includes lunch and the program will start at 8:30 am, with opening remarks and introductions at 9:00 am. Field Day topics will include waterhemp resistance and management, annual/Italian ryegrass trial results, and current studies including integrated pest management strategies such as cover crops.

    Paulding, Ohio — With farm margins tightening due to increased input prices and lower crop prices, farm management and evaluation of agronomic practices are critical. Ohio State University Extension is your partner to help evaluate practices on the farm and to assist with farm management and succession planning. Agricultural producers in Paulding County and beyond are invited to join Paulding County Extension on Thursday, June 25th for a half-day agronomy and farm management program at the Paulding County Extension Office, 503 Fairground Dr., Paulding, OH. The event will run from 9:00 a.m.

Both sessions have a meal included. Speakers are David Kleinschmidt, Progressive Agronomy Consulting, Vandalia, IL; Pete Conkle, Columbiana County SWCD, and Cody Beacom, Bird Agronomics.

    Farmers, agricultural retailers, crop advisers, conservation professionals, Extension personnel, and others involved in Ohio agriculture are invited to attend the 2026 Ohio 4R Technology Review Field Day on Tuesday, June 23, at Nutrien Ag Solutions, 18186 Five Points Pike, Mt. Sterling, Ohio 43143. The event begins with registration at 8:30 a.m. and concludes at 2:15 p.m.
