This year’s drainage school will cover many topics, including drainage planning, design, and installation, drainage law, GPS surveying, and the use of agricultural conservation practices to manage water quality.

    OSU Extension invites crop producers, CCAs, and agribusinesses to attend a regional 2024 Weeds University. This program is designed to keep agronomic producers on the cutting edge in weed control for their cropping operations. Program will feature a hybrid format with several in-person regional locations. Locations will include Auglaize County, Clermont County, Crawford County, Fayette County, Jackson County, Madison County, Paulding County, and Wayne County.

    What should you plant first –corn or soybean? What crop has the smallest yield penalty for delayed planting? Can you adjust your management practices to mitigate losses due to late planting? How are diseases affected by planting date? We will answer these questions and more during our Battle for the Belt Winter Meeting. Featured speakers include:Dr. Osler Ortez, Dr. Laura Lindsey, Dr. Stephanie Karhoff, and Dr. Horacio Lopez-Nicora. Identical events will be offered in Licking County, Fayette County, and Hardin County. Registration is $10!

    Ohio State University Extension Allen County will host the 4th Annual Allen County Ag Outlook and Agronomy Day on Tuesday, February 6, 2024. The day will include presentations on the latest in Ag economics, agronomy and agriculture technology. Full details including session titles and presenters can be found at u.osu.edu/allenanr/upcoming-programs/. Certified Crop Advisor and pesticide/fertilizer credits may be offered.
