  1. 2022 Precision Ag Day: Prescriptive Tillage (Champaign)

    Join Champaign and Madison County OSU Extension as we look at the potential for prescriptive tillage technology. This is the next step in sub-field management, with implements able to adjust on the fly while in operation. Specialist from OSU will be presenting on the agronomic factors to consider with this technology, and what might be a fit for your operation. Local equipment dealers will also be on hand to discuss what their respective companies have to offer.

  2. Farm Pesticide Disposal at Erie County

    The Ohio Department of Agriculture will be sponsoring collection events for farmers wishing to dispose of unwanted pesticides. This year, the collections are happening in Erie, Greene and Van Wert counties on the following days and locations:

  3. Ohio No-Till Field Day (Muskingum)

    Aug 23, 2022, 9:00am - 12:00pm

    On August 23 (Tuesday morning) our third no-till event will be in Muskingum County, 9:00 to noon. The Muskingum SWCD helped organize the program. The location is the Randall Horst farm, 1145 Morgan Rd, Zanesville, OH 43701. Eight cover crop plots were drilled after wheat harvest. Ryan Haden, OSU-ATI, will discuss his research with interseeding cover crops into corn.

  4. Ohio No-Till Field Day (Butler)

    Aug 20, 2022 (All day)

    On August 20 (Saturday morning) the Butler SWCD will host a program at 1802 Princeton Road, Hamilton, Ohio 45011. Starting at 9:00 a.m., Brady Smith, Butler SWCD, will showcase 8 Cover Crop plots planted July 1, plus an interseeded legume in corn. Mike Estadt, OSU Extension, Pickaway County, will speak on Carbon Markets.

  5. Ohio No-Till Field Day (Crawford)

    Aug 18, 2022, 9:00am - 4:00pm

    On August 18 (Thursday), Rick Clark of Williamsport, Indiana, will headline a full day (9:00-4:00) in Crawford County at Sunny Slopes Farm, 4565 Zeigler Rd, Bucyrus, OH 44820. Jason Hartschuh, OSU Extension, Crawford County, will speak on two topics: Herbicide cautions before cover crops, and Cover crops for forage.
