    The annual Agriculture Technology Conference will be held at Northwest State Community College in Archbold, Ohio on August 23, 2023, from 8:00am to 4:00pm. This year’s event will highlight planting and automation technology.

    REYNOLDSBURG, Ohio (May 3, 2023) – The Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA) will be sponsoring three collection events for farmers wishing to dispose of unwanted pesticides. This year, the collections are happening in Morgan, Putnam and Miami counties on the following days and locations: • August 9, 9 a.m.–3 p.m.: Morgan County, Morgan County Fairgrounds 2760 South Riverside Drive, McConnelsville, Ohio 43756 • August 10, 9 a.m.–3 p.m.: Putnam County, Putnam County Fairgrounds, Gate 5 1206 East Second Street, Ottawa, Ohio 45856

    On August 15th, 2023, the Southwest Ohio Corn Growers Association, the Fayette County Agronomy Committee, and the Fayette County Extension Office will hold their annual field day and agronomy plot demonstrations. The event will be held at the Fayette County Research and Demonstration Farm, located northeast of Washington C.H. at 2770 Old Route 38, at the Fayette County Airport. The field day will be from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. It is free to attend and will include lunch. Certified Crop Advisor credits will also be available for the various sessions of the event.

    The annual Manure Science Review will be held on Thursday August 3rd in Defiance County from 9:00am to 3:00pm at Innovative Ag, 10366 OH 249, Bryan, Ohio 43506.

  8. Jul 25, 2023, 9:00am - 3:00pm

    The Ohio State University at Lima will host a Drainage Installation Field Day on the campus farm on Tuesday, July 25, 2023. Field demonstrations by the Ohio Land Improvement Contractors of America, or OLICA, will begin at 9 a.m. and will continue in an open-house-style format throughout the day. The event is free and open to the public. Parking will be available off Thayer Road. Maps of the campus with parking and registration areas marked are available as part of the registration process.  

  9. Jul 20, 2023, 9:00am - 1:30pm

    This field day will cover topics related to in-field and edge-of-field conservation practices, such as two-stage ditch construction and use, cover crops, and the use of Phosphorus filters to manage excess soil P. Our keynote speaker will be Kevin King, USDA-ARS Research Lead and Agricultural Engineer, discussing water management and in-field practice research results. Four breakout sessions will allow for smaller group conversation.
