  1. OSU Organic Grains Conference (Sandusky)

    The 3rd annual Ohio State Organic Grains Conference will be January 9-10, 2025 at Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Sandusky, Ohio. This event is managed by Ohio State University Extension and the OFFER program. Attendance for 2024 exceeded 240, and included farmers, suppliers, researchers, and educators from Ohio, Indiana, New York, Illinois, Michigan, and beyond.   2. Certified Crop Adviser Exam Preparation Class

    Individuals looking to become a Certified Crop Adviser (CCA) should consider attending the Ohio CCA Pre-Exam Preparation Class offered by Ohio State University Extension. The session will be January 7-8, 2025, at the Shelby County Ag Building, 810-820 Fair Rd, Sidney, Ohio 45365.

  3. Fall 2024 Weeds University

    OSU Extension invites crop producers, CCAs, and agribusinesses to attend a regional at the Fall 2024 Ohio State Weeds University on Thursday, November 21, 2024, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. The program will take place at locations across the state. Locations include Darke, Highland, Sandusky, Licking, Paulding, and Mahoning counties. This program is designed to keep agronomic crop producers on the cutting edge of weed control for their operations.

  4. Farm Science Review

    Join us at the 2024 Farm Science Review, September 17 – 19 at the Molly Caren Agricultural Center. We will be displaying a snapshot of research projects conducted throughout Ohio in the Agronomic Crops plot area. Find us between Gates B and C upon entering the FSR grounds from the East Parking Lot. Listen in on ‘Tailgate Talks’ with Ohio State University Extension specialists.

  5. FSR Agronomy College

    The Ohio AgriBusiness Association and Ohio State Extension partner annually to hold the Farm Science Review Agronomy College. The event provides up-to-date perspectives for agronomists, Certified Crop Advisers, custom applicators and farmers on current agronomy issues.

  7. Exploring Crop and Livestock Integration: Barriers and Benefits - Darke County

    Over the last 50 years, both crop and livestock production systems in the U.S. have become increasingly specialized and separated. A two-year Ohio State project has partnered with 31 working Ohio farms to examine the economic, ecological, and social impacts of specializing or integrating these farming systems.

  9. Phosphorous Phield Day

With insights from over 45 years of phosphorous fertilizer research, Dr. Manbir Rakkar, will share current recommendations for phosphorus applications and examples of best management practices to keep nutrients working for us in growing crops rather than against us as a contaminant of surface water.
