We are excited to introduce Dr. Emma Matcham as the new Forage Extension State Specialist. Emma started her position in the Department of Horticulture and Crop Science on January 1st and will be an active member of the Ohio State University Agronomic Crops Team.
Emma is an OSU alumna and Ohio native with expertise in nutrient cycling, agronomy, and spatial statistics. She earned her PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and prior to returning to OSU, was an Assistant Professor at the University of Florida. Emma is also a Certified Crop Adviser. Emma is looking forward to meeting forage producers across the state at upcoming Extension programs and is already in the process of establishing field trials to help address the needs of Ohio farmers.
