September 26th marked the release of Green Fields Green Dollars Season 2 Episode 2 focusing on the economics of tile drainage on the farm. Cohosts Clint Schroeder and Rachel Cochran Henry are joined by Bruce Clevenger, CCA, Field Specialist for Farm Management at Ohio State University. Bruce describes the history of drainage across the state of Ohio, as well as benefits for implementation and how producers can determine the payback period for installation. Clint and Rachel discuss the agronomic and economic benefits of farms that utilize tile drainage, and the group discusses multi-year data collected from across the state that paints a picture of the usefulness of the practice.
