Join the Conversation: Cover Crops Roundtable Continues in 2026!

Paulding County Extension is continuing their monthly evening series, Cover Crops Roundtable, through 2026! Join Rachel Henry, Water Quality Extension Associate, and Sarah Noggle, Ag & Natural Resources Extension Educator, for monthly sessions on topics related to growing cover crops, nutrient management, pest management, and everything in between. Each meeting is from 6:30p.m. to 8:00p.m. at the Paulding County Extension office, free of charge, with light refreshments provided. There is no required registration, just show up!

Previous topics have included the economics of cover crops, soil nutrient cycling, cover crop termination methods, herbicide carryover, planter technologies, and much more. The first portion of each meeting is dedicated to either a guest speaker or a short informational discussion led by Rachel or Sarah, and the remainder of the meeting is an open forum for discussion amongst the group. Whether you’re a seasoned cover crop grower or just starting out, this is your chance to learn, share, and connect as a group about all things cover crops and conservation. Open to producers in Paulding County and beyond, all are welcome to attend.

The first meeting of the year will be held on Tuesday, January 6th, 2026 at 6:30p.m. at the Paulding County Extension Office, 503 Fairground Dr. Paulding, OH. The group will have a guest presenter for this session, longtime roundtable attendee Ron Snyder, a farmer from Wood County, Ohio. Ron will share what practices he uses on his farm, his journey, and his challenges along the way. February 3rd will be the second roundtable of the year, and the farmer presenter series will continue with Leon Klopfenstein, Paulding County, where he will share his journey and what he has learned over the years of trying new practices on his farm. See the attached flyer for more information about this series, including all 2026 meeting dates.

Mark your calendar and bring your questions – let’s grow together! Any questions about cover crops roundtable can be directed to Rachel Henry by emailing henry.1394@osu.edu or calling (567) 344-5016.
