    If you apply, fertilizer to 50 acres of cropland where you do not use that crop exclusively for your own livestock feed you will need to certify with the Ohio Department of Agriculture. This includes broadcast and sidedress applications. Planter applications are exempt as long as you do not apply additional fertilizer utilizing another method of application. This applies to any Nitrogen, Phosphorus or Potassium application.

  3. The Certified Crop Adviser (CCA) Exam Training program, sponsored and delivered by the OSU Agronomic Crops Team, will be offered at the Shelby County Extension Office, Sidney, Ohio on January 9 & 10, 2019 beginning at 9:00 a.m. on the 9th and adjourn by 5:00 p.m. on the 10th.

    On-farm technology has the ability to collect so much information on farming practices and crops but what do we do with all of that information once we have it? Information is power and gives farmers the ability to improve and fine-tune every aspect of their operations. These adjustments can lead to yield improvements or savings on input costs that can add up to a better bottom line at the end of the year.

  5. The FSR Agronomy College is held in partnership between the Ohio AgriBusiness Association & OSU Extension. The event is designed to educate agronomists, Certified Crop Advisers, custom applicators and farmers on current agronomy issues. The full-day event features time with OSU Extension staff in the field in the agronomy plots on the east side of the Farm Science Review grounds.
