    Please join Ohio State University Extension and Channel Equipment on July 6th for the West Central Ohio Hay Day, sponsored by the Champaign and Clark County Farm Bureau, and Americas Trusted Insurance Group. The event will take place on the Southeast corner of South St. Rt. 68 and W. Dallas Rd. Or, go to Channel Equipment at 338 W Dallas Rd, Urbana, OH 43078, and follow the signs. The day will begin at 10 am with talks from Extension personnel on various aspects of growing, making, storing, and feeding quality hay.

The Northwest Ag Research Station will be hosting a field day on June 20  at 9 am emphasizing “Lake Friendly Farming Research”.   Topics include Soil Drainage research, precision fertilizer placement, ultra-early corn, manure nutrient balancing, and soil health.  Management of prevented planting fields will also be discussed.  RSVP for lunch, no cost to attend.  See the flyer or for information.

    The Ohio State University College of Food, Agriculture and Environmental Sciences annual Composting in Ohio Tour is coming this Thursday. Entitled “A Tour of the Industry” the event is set for Thursday, August 9, and features two innovative large-scale composting facilities.
