Make sure to register for the 2026 Soil Health Webinar series, held Thursdays each month from January through April. In this series, extension educators, industry personnel, and academic experts will discuss science-backed practical strategies to boost crop yields, farm profitability, and environment quality. This year, we are featuring a wide variety of soil health topics relevant to row crop producers and small-scale backyard gardeners.

    We will be having our annual Agronomy Day this year at the Western Ag. Research Station in South Charleston, Ohio, July 16, 2025.  We will start at 9 a.m. with introductions and then load up the tour wagons to go out to the fields.   Registration will start at 8:30 am with coffee and doughnuts. Certifed Crop Adviser CEU's will be offered.

    Early registration is now open for the 2025 Conservation Tillage and Technology Conference scheduled for March 11-12, 2025, at Ohio Northern University in Ada. Prepare to connect with other great farmers and CCAs, experience new ideas, and increase your net income. Early registration is available at ctc.osu.edu through February 25 for a flat rate of $100 for both days. After that date, registration will be $150.

    Don’t miss out on your chance to interact with OSU Extension Specialists and take a deep dive into new corn and soybean practices at the 2023 Northwest Agronomic Field Day on Thursday, August 31 at the Northwest Agricultural Research Station.

    Topics will include managing slugs with cover crops, adjusting corn nitrogen rates following a cover crop, intensive corn management, corn diseases, and updates from the Battle for the Belt program.

  5. Ohio State University Extension and the Ohio AgriBusiness Association will again partner to hold the Farm Science Review Agronomy College on Sept. 12. The event is designed to educate agronomists, Certified Crop Advisers, custom applicators and farmers on current agronomy issues.
