    Join OSU Extension’s water quality team on January 29th, February 26th, and March 26th for their fifth annual webinar series, Water Quality Wednesdays. This webinar series is held from 10:00AM to 11:30AM on the last Wednesday of the month, via Zoom. Each webinar offers a standalone topic and speakers focusing on a different aspect of water quality and agriculture. Live webinars will offer 1.5 CEUs to Certified Crop Advisers (CCAs), and relevant webinar topics will provide CEUs to Certified Livestock Managers (CLMs).

  3. Flyer promoting job position opening.

    Are you a conservationist, environmentalist, or agriculturalist who wants to work with agricultural producers make a difference in local water quality? If so, consider joining OSU Extension as a Water Quality Extension Associate! This position is based in Tiffin, Ohio at the Seneca County Extension Office. The position covers 5 counties in the Western Lake Erie Basin: Seneca, Sandusky, Crawford, Wyandot, and Erie.

  4. Save the date! On Wednesday, July 31st, 2024, the OSU Extension Water Quality Team will be hosting their second annual field day focused on agricultural conservation practices. This year’s theme is “Cover Crop ‘Til You Drop!”, and will be focused on all things cover crops, including economics, research results, programs available for funding, as well as how this practice impacts soil health and water quality. This event will be free to attend thanks to support from Cargill and sponsorship from The Nature Conservancy.

    Nutrient runoff and algal blooms are a growing problem while fertilizer costs are at an all-time high. Best Management Practice (BMP) Field Day is an event to address these problems and offer solutions for farmers, students, and community members interested in attending. BMP Field Day is a full day event to learn more about Phosphorus usage, the environment, and strategies to save on fertilizer. BMP Field Day will be held in-person March 29th at the Secrest Welcome Center at the Ohio Agricultural Research & Development Center in Wooster, Ohio.
